Spit up and a lesson in parenting

I love watching Isabella with Alexander. She is such a good big sister, and a good example to me. After Isabella attempted to give me and Alexander a ride on her blankie, Alexander spit up on Isabella's arm. As I was cracking up, she quietly got up (with a look of disgust on her face), walked to the bathroom to get a towel and clean up herself. After she wiped off her arm, she brought the towel to Alexander, wiped him off, and said "You feel better, little boy?". What a good girl! She didn't get mad, or cry, she just handled herself and even cleaned up her little brother. What can I say, I was proud.

Almost done cleaning the spit up off of her arm.
Wiping off the little man.

Ronald got the Bumbo down from the attic, so Alexander get's to sit in from time to time. After the whole spit up episode, I put little bear into the bumbo, and Isabella went to get her baby and sit next to Alexander. She was showing him how to feed her baby a bottle. He was paying very close attention. One day, Isabella will be an excellant mother. I just love her so much.

Sometimes I cry when I see my children like this. It's so sad that they are growing up so fast, but so sweet how much they love each other. I love my children.

The magic blankie

How we just LOVE blankie. Isabella received this blankie from a PB&J Mom, who I just adore! The other day, blankie, was turned into many wonderful things. It truely was MAGIC!

The blankie sled.
Riding it backwards, too (so brave).
Blankie horsie
Blankie.....the protector!
The companion to go see Santa (she loves to run around the table and say "come on mami. We gotta take blankie to the North Pole. Santa needs a blankie."
Going on a picnic and eating some "delicious" food.
Sleeping "like a baby" in the blankie....and snoring away.
Protection from the paparazzi.....MAMI!
Pulling Alexander on the sleigh
Attempting to pull Mami on the sleigh, but we didn't go anywhere. Maybe next time I'll get a ride.

Tummy time

Occasionally (when he's not being held), Alexander gets his "tummy time". Isabella LOVES when Alexander gets tummy time, because then she can get out his toys for him. She loves to give him things to play with, and try to make him smile or laugh. (and she loves to play with his toys, too.)
Isabella is trying to get the little man's attention, but he is just loving sucking on his pillow.
Sucking on hard plastic.....yummy.
What pretty eyes you have.....(staring down the toy).
Crying, after realizing that Mami's not holding him. Until next time.....

Hello?

RING.......RING.....
Hello?......
Alexander, it's for you.

Okay.....bye bye.

Tio is such a good Tio. We love you Tio!

Na naaaaa na na.....

Na Naaaaa na na......Elmo's WORLD!!!

That's what these two cuties were singing. I love that they can both easily fit their hinies in the same chair.

A good little mommy

Visiting with Grandma and Mom-mom

Mom-mom and Grandma came to visit us for an hour or so last week, before we all headed to Dad's for chinese dinner and then to Grace's concert. We had a really nice visit.

Even though this picture is a little blurry and really bright, it's one of my favorites.
Alexander was named after Mom-mom's second son, my Uncle Bart. (Alexander Bartley Rivera)
This makes me laugh....such seriousness on both of their faces.

Isabella was telling Grandma to come and get her.
Grandma is such a good sport, after chasing Isabella around, she just couldn't do it anymore.
Mom-mom and I were cracking up....Grandma and Isabella were just loving playing together (not bad for a woman who's in her 90's).
