Thank you, Nanny

My Mom bought Isabella the cute shirt, skirt and shoes she is wearing. She really REALLY loves the shoes (she is her mother's daughter.....what can I say....). When she saw the shoes she smiled really big and said "oooooooaaaahhhhh". She looks very sweet. Thanks, Mom.

Grandpa's yard

Family portrait. Isabella did NOT want to be held, she just wanted to run around and play.
Ronald in the old chicken coop.

Throwing a fit to get back on the swing. This little girl LOVES to swing.
There were secada (I know this is not spelled right) shells all over this tree. This one was still coming out of its shell. It was really cool to see. Ronald touched it because he thought is was dead....but it is very much alive. Doesn't it look like this bug is giving birth to itself?

Sunday we went to my Daddy's house to celebrate my Uncle Jeffrey's birthday. After dinner we went out in the yard and played a little bit. I love going there.....Isabella can run around in his nice big yard, and can just be carefree.

Tagging of My Hubby

Another tag from Sommer.....thanks Sommer.

So this is all about my hubby:

1. What is your husband's name?

Ronald Rodrigo Rivera Fernandez

2. Who said "I love you" first?

Definately me

3. Who is taller?

I am, by almost 2 inches

4. Who is smarter?

hmmmm.....I think that I'm a pretty smart gal, but Ronald is pretty dag gone smart. When it comes to gospel topics, he's definately more smart.

5. Who is more sensitive?

me....it drives him nuts, what can I say, I'm a hormone driven woman

6. Who does the laundry?

Isabella does.....well, she likes to help. I love doing laundry.

7. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?

If we are in bed, Ronald does....if you are looking at the bed, I do.

8. Who pays the bills?

Ronald does....although I am constantly trying to convince him to let me help. I love paying bills, weird....I know, but I just enjoy writing the checking, and writing "PAID ON...."on the statement.

9. Who cooks more?

I do all of the cooking.

10. What meals do you cook together?

none....again, I do ALL the cooking

11. Who is more stubborn?

This is a tough one. We are both very stubborn. I think we are equally stubborn, but in different areas.

12. Who is the first to admit they are wrong?

I am NEVER wrong....hahaha

13. Who is more clean?

We are both very clean people. Ronald showers more than I do, so his "person" is more clean....but we keep a clean house together.

14. Who has more siblings?

I have 5 siblings and Ronald has 4.....it's a close one. (biologically, we have the same amount)

15. Who wears the pants in the relationship?

I hate that.....who wears the pants? Come on now.....we are not in the 50's. We both share equal responsibilities.

16. What do you like to do together?

Ronald said "That's a good question...." Unfortunately, we don't do a whole lot together. We sleep next to each other, and entertain our daughter, eat dinner together, you know.....nothing super exciting. Ronald has added that we watch movies together, but what really happens is this: I put the movie on......and 5-10 minutes into it, he's SLEEPING.....I wouldn't count that as "together" time.

17. Who eats more sweets?

tricky tricky....Ronald eats sweets more consistantly, but in small portions. I just eat a LOT of sweets when I get the chance to. What can I say....I'm my father's daughter.

18. Guilty pleasures?

surfing, snow boarding, and paintball....thankfully he can control his urges a little more now.

19. How did you meet?

ldsmingles.com

GRRRRR.....I just typed this whole long beautiful story....and it just disappeared! I am not typing it again.....sorry folks. Ask me for more details.

20. Who asked who out first?

hmmm....this is also tricky. There was never an official asking out. I just called him from LA and told him that I was coming to his house (in San Diego) and needed to stay with him for the rest of the week. (The guy I initially went to see was not the person he said he was, so I made him drive me to San Diego.) I just showed up, and things went from there.

21. Who kissed who first?

That would be ME. (surprise surprise....I always make the moves) I kissed him the first time we initially me.....in the drive thru of In-N-Out Burger. We were waiting for a lemonade.....and I kissed him.....it was the best first kiss ever! I will never forget it.

22. Who proposed?

He did....of course. I thought he was dead or in serious trouble or something the whole day that he was going to propose. I thought he was flying out to MD the following week, but he actually sent me a FAKE itinerary and showed up in a park in Ellicott City, MD on May 29. I was guarding the picinic blanket of the family I was nannying for (since they left their really nice picinic stuff and her purse there.....I was mad, but little did I know she did it on purpose), when next thing I know this "kid" with a red shirt on came running out of the trees with a bouquet of flowers in hand. (The kid is Ronald...silly me) Then he dropped down and proposed.....I was shaking and crying.....now I know why he never picked up his cell phone all day. I was so releived that he wasn't dead......he was there in flesh and blood.

23. Best features?

His smile, dimples, I LOVE his hiney......it's the cutest hiney ever.

24. What is his best quality?

He has an immense knowledge of the gospel....I really love that. I also love how he is with Isabella and he works so hard to take care of us.

Tag Isabella....you're it!

Sweet sweet Sommer....silly girl. Sommer has tagged Isabella, so I have to name 5 facts about Isabella.

1. Isabella LOVES her babies and LOVES to read books. We could sit and read for an hour straight (not from one book, though) and she would be completely content.

2. Isabella has been my music loving and dancing baby for a long time. When I was pregnant with her, and I was well (not vomiting or on bed rest) I would put on some music and dance away. To this day, she is always requesting songs to be sung, or the musica to be turned on. If we get in the car and the music isn't on, she'll ask for it to be turned on. She still loves to dance. When she was really little, I used to clap my hands, bounce/dance, and sing "Dancing baby.....dun dun dun". She also is learning a few primary songs and will sing along with me. She knows I am a child of God, Families can be together forever, Teach me to walk in the light, Love is spoken here, and I'm trying to be like Jesus. I'm so proud of her, her memory is so good.

3. She is my outside girl, always has been, and I hope always will be. She especially loves to get in puddles.

4. Isabella LOVES to be chased by her Papi. For some reason, it's not as fun when Mami chases her as it is when Papi chases her.

5. She's my "punkin". Just ask her, she'll say yes.

FHE activity....Play Dough

For our activity in Family Home Evening, we played with play dough. At first Isabella didn't know what to do with it, but then she got the hang of it and really liked it. Not to mention, Ronald and I had a great time too.

MY BIG GIRL

Sunday evening Ronald was reading to Isabella when she got up and said "Mami, Isabella make poopy", and she started running to her bathroom. So I took her diaper off, and put her on the potty....and she went! She peed a little....I got excited and screamed, so she stopped peeing and smiled really big. We were so proud....she said she wasn't done yet so we waited a little more, and she peed again. She's my big girl. Who knows, maybe by the time she's two she'll be potty trained.

Video

August 1st...watching the Finnigan boys

Such a big, sweet, happy boy.
Isabella really wanted to put her headband (she calls is a ganee) on the boys....they humored her.
Nathan didn't seem to mind the headband at all.
Next in line.....Brandon gets a turn to wear the headband....he actually came over and requested that Isabella put it on him.
Fixing the headband.....he wore it for a good five minutes before taking it off.
Isabella reading a book to Nathan.
Brandon playing between the easle....he and Isabella spent a lot of time playing back there.
Talking on the phone....she is very good at playing pretend on the phone.
Best friends playing behind the easle.
Cute little Nathan loved to play with the kitchen.

Sommer went to NYC on Friday, so I got the priviledge of watching her cutie-pie boys. We had a lot of fun playing and singing. Isabella really loved having someone to play with.

Isabella's purse and Mami's 25th birthday

I love this picture....look at Brandon's face....such a cutie.

The Finnigan's came over for my birthday to hang out and eat Chinese with us. Sommer made an AWESOME cake....thanks Sommer. On a different note, everytime Isabella and I go out to the store, she wants to take this huge black purse that she calls Isabella's purse....it's very cute.

Shower time

Isabella always requests to take a shower in our bathroom. She loves to take her toys in there and just sit and let the water splash on her. She feels like such a big girl, and it's a nice and easy way to clean myself and her.

Papi's big girl helper

Watching Papi mow.

Isabella is obsessed with watching Ronald mow the lawn, and she is always asking to help Papi work on whatever he's working on. Here are a few pictures of her actually getting to help.
